Following the installation of three wind turbines over the last 12 months, we have been working with the manufacturers of the turbines to better understand their operational capabilities and servicing requirements.
In March 2025, our wind turbine technicians visited one of these manufacturers to undergo some training. This included how to safely and competently access the turbines’ mechanical and electrical components, familiarisation with service requirements, as well as getting involved with the guys and girls in the factory where the turbines are built.
A wind turbine, installed in the correct place and properly maintained, can be a good asset, providing renewable power when it is often needed most in Scotland – through the winter months.
We are approaching these installations as we have done with all of our work over the last 13 years: with understanding, a respect for the environment it will be in and making sure it’s the right thing for our customer.
Sometimes we advertise vacancies for wind turbine technicians, installation electricians and engineers. Keep up-to-date with our job alerts, projects, training days, service updates and more on our LinkedIn page and in our monthly newsletter.
And as always please get in touch with your questions about our renewable energy services, installation and maintenance.
