The site posed several challenges around the construction of the intake and in the laying of the penstock, however through careful planning and design a viable 30kW hydro scheme was proposed.
Installation went ahead in 2018 and the scheme is now operational with all maintenance and monitoring being carried out by Proterra Energy.
