Coupled to that they were installing some small letting cabins alongside the distillery.   The main distillery is fed with renewable power from their own hydro scheme.

 

Proterra Energy designed and installed a solar power system that fed both their café and the new holiday cabins.  We installed an  EV charger for visitors to the café or residents.  Diversion systems route excess power to hot water in the cabins meaning that spare generation through the day ensures that visitors have nice warm water in the evening for when they return from a day’s sightseeing in Kintyre.

 

This is a great example of a forward thinking business investing in and making use of hybrid renewable generation and intelligent control to help them on their journey to net zero!
