Alasdair was recently by SDS nominated for the “Net Zero Apprentice of the Year”

We have been working with Skills Development Scotland over the past 12-18 months on their Skills for Growth Program. 

As part of that we have looked at how we can enhance our offering by developing our team through additional skills training.   

It has been a good experience, and SDS complemented the company on its culture and commitment to colleagues through the business, with training for our younger members of staff, apprenticeships and HNC and bespoke training programmes for graduates, recording and guiding their development into Engineers.

Renewable Energy Apprentice Success

One of our Apprentices, Alasdair was recently by SDS nominated for the “Net Zero Apprentice of the Year” in the Scottish Apprenticeship for the work that he has been doing across a range of projects throughout Scotland, and internally his dedication as part of the team, learning his trade as in Electrical Installation & Maintenance but also contributing to wider team, installing hydro schemes and wind turbines.   

We wish him luck and will see how he gets on in March 2025 year when the awards are announced.
